Business Development Manager

Beatfreeks is seeking a highly organised, target driven and self-motivated Business Development Manager to join our team.

Working to win new work from clients and partners such as Google, Selfridges and West Midlands Combined Authority, you will support the General Manager (Development) with all things new business from identifying and qualifying leads through to creating and negotiating proposals, pitching new work, and contracting.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, youthful environment, be a self-starter, have a high standard of yourself and others and be able to get a bit thrifty when needed. We’re seeking someone creative, ambitious and determined with excellent communication and relationship building skills; someone with a track record of being target focused and driving sales for a service driven business.


Key Responsibilities

In short you will be responsible for…

  • Managing all enquiries for new business, taking them through from a lead to a contract
  • Networking and growing new leads including through our project, National Youth Trends
  • Supporting General Manager (Development) with wider business development work streams such as client satisfaction, pipeline management, and preparing pitches

Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who is…

  • Able to establish and manage relationships with clients in order to deliver profitable growth
  • Confident in supporting end to end project delivery
  • An excellent communicator who has experience in delivering presentations to clients
  • Able to take initiative to follow up & get tasks done
  • Detail orientated with excellent organisational & time management skills
  • Able to prioritise the needs of clients whilst staying true to our organisational values and priorities
  • Experienced in developing client briefs and pitching to clients
  • A team player
  • Goal driven – with proven experience working in a target driven role
  • Able to solve problems in the interest of the team and clients
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence
  • A skilled negotiator & can confidently influence in a sales driven environment

Desired skills and experience include…

  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Worked within a business development role within an agency setting before
  • Has developed new services / business and successfully implemented them
